# Contacts overview

> Your Contacts are the living record of everyone who has ever messaged your business — automatically created from every conversation, in one searchable place.

Your Contacts are the living record of everyone who has ever messaged your business — automatically created from every conversation, in one searchable place.

Every time someone reaches out on LINE, WhatsApp, Instagram, Messenger, or your website, Cura saves them as a contact. So instead of scattered chats and a notebook of phone numbers, you get a single customer list that grows on its own and stays organized.

Cura *is* your CRM — your customer records live right here. There's no separate CRM to connect, import into, or keep in sync. Everything about a customer sits next to the conversations you're already having with them.

## Every customer, captured automatically

Most of your contact list builds itself. The moment a new person messages you on any channel, Cura creates a contact for them and links it to that conversation. Returning customers are recognized and kept as a single record, so their history stays together. When you need to, you can also add a contact yourself with **Add Contact** — useful for someone you met offline who hasn't messaged you yet.

## What a contact holds

Each contact is a profile you can enrich as you learn more:

* **Name, phone, and email** — the basics, editable anytime.
* **Owner** — the team member responsible for this customer.
* **Stage** — where they are in your pipeline (e.g. **New**, **Qualified**, **Consultation**).
* **Source** — where they came from (e.g. website, referral, walk-in, ads).
* **Service interest** — the treatment or service they're asking about.
* **Tier** — **VIP**, **Standard**, or **New**, so your best customers stand out.
* **Tags**, **custom attributes**, and **file attachments** for anything else you track.

## Find anyone in seconds

The contacts list is built for speed. **Search** by name, phone, or email, and **filter** by stage, source, owner, or tag to zero in on exactly the people you mean. Each row shows the key facts at a glance, and you can open any contact for the full picture.

## Organize the way you work

Two tools help you group people for follow-up and outreach:

* **Lists** — hand-picked groups you build yourself (e.g. "December promo invites").
* **Segments** — pre-built smart views that update automatically (e.g. **VIP Contacts**, **Engaged This Week**).

<Tip>
A contact is only as useful as the details on it. Set an **owner** and a **tier** on your important customers early — it makes filtering, follow-up, and reporting far more powerful later.
