Overview
Facebook Messenger integration lets your team receive and respond to Page messages from Cura without switching tabs. Incoming messages are routed into your Cura inbox and follow the same assignment, tagging, and workflow rules as other channels. What this channel supports
- Inbound and outbound Messenger conversations from a connected Facebook Page
- Team assignment, internal notes, and workflow automation in Cura
- Unified conversation history alongside your other channels
Requirements
Before connecting, make sure you have:- A published Facebook Page
- Admin or full-control access to the Page in Meta Business settings
- Page messaging enabled in Facebook settings
- A Cura workspace admin role
Setup
- In Cura, go to Settings > Connect channels > Facebook Messenger.
- Click Connect Facebook.
- Sign in to Facebook with an account that has admin access to the Page.
- Select the correct business portfolio and Page.
- Approve requested permissions for message access and Page metadata.
- Choose which Cura inbox should receive Messenger conversations.
- Send a test message to your Page and confirm it appears in Cura.
Platform rules to know
Meta enforces policy windows for business messaging. In practice:- Standard free-form replies are generally limited to the active customer-service window after a user message.
- Messages outside that window may require approved message types or templates, depending on policy and use case.
Troubleshooting
- If no messages arrive, verify the same Page is selected in Cura and Meta.
- If authorization fails, remove Cura from Facebook business integrations and reconnect.
- If replies fail, check Page messaging permissions and policy window limits.
