Tasks are your team’s to-do list inside Cura — “call back at 3pm”, “send the aftercare PDF”, “follow up on the deposit.” Linked to the right customer or deal, nothing falls through the cracks. By the end of this guide, you’ll know how to create tasks, set priorities and due dates, assign them to teammates, and work through them to “done.”

Before you begin

  • You’ll need access to the CRM.
  • Know who a task is for — you can link it to a contact, a deal, both, or neither.

1

Create a task

  • Click New task and give it a clear title (e.g. “Call Khun Mai about PRP package”).
  • Add a description if there’s detail the assignee will need.
  • Link it to a contact and/or a deal so the task shows up on that record too.
Your task now exists and appears in your tasks list.
2

Set a due date and priority

  • Due date: when it needs to happen. This drives your “what’s due” view.
  • Priority: mark it Low, Medium, High, or Urgent so the team knows what matters most.
3

Assign an owner

  • Set the owner to the team member who should do the task. Leave it to yourself if it’s yours.
  • Owners make it clear who’s accountable and let everyone filter to just their own work.
The task is now on someone’s plate with a deadline and a priority.
4

Work it to done

Tasks move through three statuses:
  • Open — not started yet.
  • In progress — being worked on.
  • Completed — done. Cura records when it was completed.
Update the status as you go, and mark it Completed when it’s finished.
You’ve closed the loop — and the customer’s record reflects the follow-up.

Where tasks show up

  • On the contact detail page, in the contact’s tasks card.
  • On a deal, when the task is linked to it.
  • In the Has Open Task segment, which gathers every contact with a pending task.

Troubleshooting

  • A task isn’t on a contact’s page. Make sure it’s linked to that contact — an unlinked task lives only in the general tasks list.
  • You can’t find a task. Check the status filter; completed tasks may be hidden from the open view.
